A full day is planned to give delegates the opportunity to experience how deeply embedded the history of Scapa Flow is within the Orkney landscape.
This tour, with expert guide Andrew Hollinrake, takes in the evocative site Ness Battery and its remarkably preserved mural before heading off on a bus tour of Scapa Flow down to the poignant Italian Chapel, across the striking Churchill Barriers to the Orkney Fossil & Heritage Centre in Burray for lunch, and to view their displays on Scapa Flow and the building of the barriers.

Your guide Andrew Hollinrake is an archaeologist, military historian and tourist guide; he was part of the Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology (ORCA) team that conducted the historical research and archaeological survey of Ness Battery in 2010, and completed his Scottish Tourist Guides Association Yellow Badge (Stromness Town Walk and Ness Battery) qualification in 2010 and STGA Green Badge (Orkney) guide in 2013.
